Boating: Feadship Yachts

June 19, 2008 – 1:29 pm

Feadship yachts came into existence in 1949, when two Netherlands shipyards decide to combine forces. The two shipyards were run by the De Vries and Royal Van Lent families. The name, Feadship, stands for the First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders.

Feadship yachts can range in length from 70 to 213 feet long. There are two shipyards at which these boats are made, one in Aaslmeer and on on the Kaag Island. These shipyards produce two motor yachts each per year. The boats are generally constructed with steel and aluminum and can come with a great variety of luxurious amenities.

Considering that Feadship only produces four yachts per year, the chances of buying one on a whim are very slim. Granted, there are probably used Feadship luxury yachts on the market, but knowing about the sale of these yachts can be tough if you arent on the inside track.

A yacht brokerage will be able to get you a VIP pass into the world of mega yachts. Once you enlist the help of a yacht brokerage, the chances of finding your Feadship mega yacht will greatly increase. Even better is the fact that the brokerage will be able to find you the yacht of your dreams for a reasonable price. Because of their expert knowledge in the field of yachts, they will never allow you to pay more than you have to!
